This May, I'm recovering from knee surgery as a result of my caring role.
I’ve stepped up to Walk for Autism again this year in support of Autistic Australians, especially my darling Tee 🤍
Even though I'm recovering, I've been given clearance to mobilise with assistance and will be aiming to achieve 30,000 steps to fundraise for Autistic Australians.
Did you know that 70% of Autistic people in Australia experience mental health challenges, and that's just the start of the difficulties they experience.
Accessing services, support and disability-friendly activities is incredibly challenging every day. This challenging experience of the world is even greater for people who are Profoundly Autistic and/or have a variety of additional disabilities, like Tee.
Cost of living expenses are high, so please know that if you choose to donate even a dollar, your donation will help deliver services that support Autistic people to live their best life.
Funds raised can help Autistic people and their families access earlier diagnosis, provide autism-specific schooling for children on the autism spectrum, support research and help create inclusive, autism-friendly environments.
Please support my Walk for Autism and donate now. If donating isn't an option, there are so many other ways you can support my efforts, like sharing my page on socials, giving me a shout out, or even just checking in and encouraging me on the way.
