Trae Macfadyen

I’m walking 10k steps a day this May to support Autistic Australians

Welcome back to Walk For Autism! It is back for round two this year and this year it is time to bring forth some walkening to those steps!

My name is Trae Macfadyen, and I successfully did over 10k steps each day during may (thats right, not 7k but 10K STEPS!), and on top of that I was able to raise over a thousand dollars for autism awareness and support.

I'm also a local student and worker working to make my dreams come true. As a person with Autism myself I fully understand the hardships, misunderstandings, and struggles that neurodivergent people have faced and continue to face.

We live in a world that is becoming even more understanding of autism than it has ever been in history.

I offer this walk to ensure that the world for us becomes even more understanding and accessible for us all.

From May 1 to the end of may, I will be doing over 10k steps a day. Every day will be recorded on this page alongside a picture of my watch that will record said steps. Last year I even did days over 20k and even 40k steps (I got quite competitive with myself and beating other days).

Thank you so much for reading and checking out my page! If you choose donate to me, you're awesome! If you don't, you're still awesome because being awesome shouldn't be behind a paywall!

Thank you and have yourself a fantastic day.

I’ve stepped up to Walk for Autism. Please show your support as I walk my own brilliant way for Autistic Australians and their families!

Did you know? Because the world is not autism-friendly, 70% of Autistic people in Australia experience mental health challenges.

That's why I'm walking 7k steps a day in May to fundraise for Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia). Can you please support me?

Your donation will help deliver services that support Autistic people to live their best life.

Funds raised can help Autistic people and their families access earlier diagnosis, provide autism-specific schooling for children on the autism spectrum, support research and help create inclusive, autism-friendly environments.

Please support my Walk for Autism and donate now. Thank you so much!
