I’m walking 7k steps a day this May to support Autistic Australians
I’ve stepped up for Walk for Autism. Throughout the month of May, I’ll be walking 7,000 steps every day to raise funds and awareness for Autistic Australians and their families.
Did you know? Because the world isn’t always autism-friendly, around 70% of Autistic people in Australia experience mental health challenges.
That’s why this cause means so much to me.
As a mum, I’ve experienced judgement in ways I never expected — from strangers staring in public, to adults shaking their heads, to even being told by professionals that it comes down to “parenting.” These moments can be incredibly isolating, and they’re a big part of why I’m so passionate about making a difference.
I’m walking to help raise awareness, create greater understanding, and support other families who may be going through similar experiences.
Every donation helps Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia) continue their incredible work — providing earlier diagnosis, specialised education, vital research, and creating more inclusive, autism-friendly environments.
If you’re able to, please support my Walk for Autism by donating. Every contribution, big or small, truly makes a difference.
Thank you so much for your support 💚
