I'm walking 7k steps a day this May to support Autistic Australians

Hi, I’m Kiki!

I’m a stay-at-home mum, cat lover, and a fierce advocate for understanding and compassion— I’m also autistic. And I’m not alone. My little family, and many of our friends, we’re all on the spectrum. Every day, we face a world that rarely sees the full picture—especially when it comes to girls.

Autistic girls are so often overlooked, misread, or diagnosed far too late. We learn to mask, to mimic, to survive—and it takes a toll. I didn’t have the words for what I was going through for years, and I know I’m not the only one.

This May, I’m walking 7,000 steps a day as part of 'Not Your Typical Steppers' for the Walk for Autism challenge. Because we’re not typical—and that’s exactly the point.

If you can, please support my journey—every step and every dollar I raise helps carve out a more understanding, more accepting world. One where diagnosis isn’t delayed. One where differences are celebrated, not hidden. One where my little girl will thrive.

Did you know? Because the world is not autism-friendly, 70% of Autistic people in Australia experience mental health issues.

Your donation will help deliver services that support Autistic people to live their best life.

Funds raised can help Autistic people and their families access earlier diagnosis, provide autism-specific schooling for children on the autism spectrum, support research and help create inclusive, autism-friendly environments.
