I’m stepping up, to help stop the struggle most on the autism spectrum face daily.
For much of my 34 years on this Earth, I'd face every struggle as somebody on the spectrum. Until only recently, I never knew it was the exact reason why I always seemed out of lockstep with everybody else, especially socially.Never being able to connect with others, never mind make friends... Never quite grasping the subtleties and intricacies of a situation or conversation. Never able to escape many sour memories of school that I still work through today,
Why mention all this? Because to be autistic in the 2000s was to always remain in grey areas, to rarely get answers or even the tools to survive, let alone succeed. It's been over 20 years since, and we've barely moved the needle.
Please join me, won't you, as I take on 7,000 steps a day, for 31 days, to give men, women, and children like me those answers and tools to take on the world, or even their own struggles, with a smile and daresay, a fire in their eyes.
