Why walk?

My children and I have ASD.

Everlee is 6 with level 3 ASD.
Everlee is non-verbal, globally delayed and struggles with several different sensory issues and self regulating.
Everlee is also a brave, inquisitive, adventurous and determined little girl.

Logan is 15 with level 2 ASD & ADHD
Logan has sensory issues with noise and touch. Everlee often pushes his limits. He has struggled in his school years to maintain focus in classes but has never failed to impress with his imagination, intelligence and humour. He is a kind, smart, sensitive, ambitious young man -
Nicknamed "Young Sheldon" in primary school by his peers.

I am undiagnosed, but suspected ASD and ADHD.
After having my children and educating myself on Autism, I started realising just how similar I was to my children.
I have several sensory issues. Noise, touch, lights. My brain doesn't stop. When I get overwhelmed, I meltdown or shut down too. I learnt to mask very young and still struggle unmasking today. But God it feels so good to stim freely. I am often clicking my nails to help with anxiety.

I am walking for all on the spectrum and their loved ones and carers who support us formally and informally! ❤️

Please donate if you can.  🙏

I’m walking 7k steps a day this May to support Autistic Australians

I’ve stepped up to Walk for Autism. Please show your support as I walk my own brilliant way for Autistic Australians and their families!

Did you know? Because the world is not autism-friendly, 70% of Autistic people in Australia experience mental health challenges.

That's why I'm walking 7k steps a day in May to fundraise for Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia). Can you please support me?

Your donation will help deliver services that support Autistic people to live their best life.

Funds raised can help Autistic people and their families access earlier diagnosis, provide autism-specific schooling for children on the autism spectrum, support research and help create inclusive, autism-friendly environments.

Please support my Walk for Autism and donate now. Thank you so much!
