Only 11 days to go for my autism fundraiser ✨

So far this May I’ve walked an incredible 118,631 steps… with 98,369 still to go before the challenge ends! Every single step is for autism awareness, understanding, inclusion and support.

Autism diagnoses may be more common now, but people still need to understand that not all autistic people are the same. That’s why it’s called a spectrum. Every autistic person has different strengths, different challenges, different support needs and experiences the world differently.

Some autistic people may communicate differently, struggle with sensory overload, emotional regulation or social situations, while others may mask what they are going through internally. What may look “fine” to someone else can actually take an enormous amount of effort behind the scenes.

The more we learn and understand about autism, the more compassion and support we can show to autistic individuals and their families  Awareness and education truly make a difference.

Week 2

Hey guys,

Just a little update on my Walk for Autism fundraiser I’ll be honest, I haven’t quite hit my 7k steps every single day yet 😅 but I’m back at the gym this week and looking to make up my steps and really stick to it.

Between work, mum life and everything that comes with it, it’s definitely been a challenge, but that’s also part of why I wanted to do this.

As a mum to my daughter with autism, this cause is incredibly close to my heart. I wanted to do something that helps create more awareness, understanding and support for autistic children and their families, while also seeing how many people in our community are willing to stand behind such an important cause.

Every step, share and donation means so much to us. Donations absolutely do not need to be big — even the smallest amount makes a difference 💙 I’m also accepting cash donations, and all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Day 3 sitting at $7 😅 but it’s still early days !

Hey guys 💙

If you know me well, you know how hard it is for me to get 7k steps in a day haha, especially with a sit-down job and being a mum. 

But here we are… Day 3 complete!

I’ve now done 3 days of walking 7k steps for Walk for Autism and I’m so proud to be part of something that supports such an important cause.

Every step helps raise awareness and contribute to building a more inclusive and understanding world.
