Wara Yindi Walks 7,000 Steps a Day This May
🌿 Wara Yindi’s Walk for Autism – Walking Our Own Brilliant Way
At Wara Yindi Support Services, everything we do is grounded in community, culture, and walking alongside Autistic people and their families with respect, understanding, and hope. This May, we’re stepping up to Walk for Autism — not just as a fundraiser, but as a reflection of the work we live and breathe every day.
We know firsthand that the world is not yet autism‑friendly. Too many Autistic people face barriers that impact their wellbeing, with 70% experiencing mental health challenges. This is why we’re committing to 7,000 steps a day throughout May — to raise awareness, spark conversations, and help create a more inclusive future.
We’re walking for the children we support, the families who trust us, the adults carving their own path, and the community we’re building together. We’re walking for early diagnosis, for autism‑specific education, for research, for sensory‑friendly spaces, and for a world where Autistic people can thrive as their authentic selves.
By supporting our Walk for Autism, you’re helping us raise funds for Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia) — an organisation whose work aligns closely with our mission: empowering Autistic people to live their best life.
Every donation, big or small, helps create real change for Autistic Australians and their families.
💛 Please support our Walk for Autism and donate today. Thank you for walking this journey with us.
