The DL Team is STEPPING UP to support Walk for Autism by walking 217,000 steps this May!
The Diverse Learning Team at PBCF is passionate about supporting the learning needs of children with Autism. The team go above and beyond to ensure the students in our care have the in-school adjustments in place to achieve their best.
However, our love and care for our students go beyond the classroom and school gates. So we have decided to support Walk for Autism by walking 217,000 steps (each) this month of May.
As a Catholic school, May holds special significance as the month of Mary—a time where we reflect on her compassion, care and unwavering support for others. Inspired by Mary’s example, we are committed to showing that same love and support to children with Autism and their families.
Did you know? Because the world is not autism-friendly, 70% of Autistic people in Australia experience mental health challenges.
That's why we’re walking 7k steps a day in May to fundraise for Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia). Can you please support us?
Your donation will help deliver services that support Autistic people to live their best life.
Funds raised can help Autistic people and their families access earlier diagnosis, provide autism-specific schooling for children on the autism spectrum, support research and help create inclusive, autism-friendly environments.
Please support our Walk for Autism and donate now. Thank you so much!
