Every step I take in this walk is for my child, and for every family walking a similar path. Autism isn’t something you can always see—but it’s something we live, learn, and grow with every single day.
My child experiences the world in a unique and beautiful way. There are moments of joy that are bigger than words, but also challenges that require patience, strength, and understanding. Things others may take for granted—communication, change, loud environments—can be overwhelming. And as a parent, all you want is to make the world feel safe, kind, and accepting for them.
I’m doing this walk to raise awareness, not just about autism itself, but about acceptance. Because autism isn’t something that needs to be “fixed”—it’s something that needs to be understood. Behind every meltdown is a reason. Behind every silence is a voice that deserves to be heard in its own way.
This fundraiser is about creating a more inclusive world. A world where differences are embraced, where support is accessible, and where no family feels alone in their journey. It’s about giving children like mine the opportunity to thrive, be celebrated, and be exactly who they are.
