Lue Moe Eiki - Team Ma’asi

We’re walking 10k steps a day this May to support Autistic Australians

Hello Everyone,

Welcome all to team Lue Moe Eiki- Team Ma’asi! We created this team Lue moe Eiki - the meaning is (Walk With The Lord) we chose this name as we are all walking our own journey with the Lord Heavenly Father. We walk by faith and not by sight, everyone is unique in their own ways. I wanted to share this psalm with you all -

Psalm 139: 13-14

“ For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb . I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well.

For the month of May, we’ll be walking together as a family to raise funds for people with autism 💙

This cause is very close to our hearts.

We’re raising money to help families like ours access the resources needed for autism diagnosis and support — because getting answers shouldn’t come at such a high cost.

Our son Ma’asi is 5 years old and currently in the process of getting his diagnosis. As a mum… if you know, you know.

Being a mum of four, I just knew there was something unique about Ma’asi. At first, I told myself it was normal — he was a “COVID baby,” born in a time where social interaction was limited and the world felt different. So when he wasn’t reaching certain milestones like walking and talking, I reassured myself he would get there in his own time.

But then I started noticing more — the hand fluttering, the patterns in his behaviour. Deep down, I knew.

There were many nights spent by his bedside in hospital due to respiratory issues. I spoke to nurses and doctors, but was often told, “it’s normal for his age” or “he’ll grow out of it.” Still, something in me knew my boy was on his own path, learning in his own time — not the mainstream timeline.

Months passed, and I’m so grateful we were able to enrol Ma’asi in an early intervention program through NDIS. With encouragement from my family, I trusted my instincts and pushed for answers — just to get a foot in the door.

Because the truth is, getting a diagnosis isn’t simple. It’s a long process, and it can cost families thousands of dollars out of pocket.

We are now awaiting his assessment in June, and I thought — why not walk for a cause that means so much to us?

The funds raised will help families like mine access the support and assessments they need, without the financial burden. Because this should be treated like any other medical need — accessible and supported.

Every cent, every dollar makes a difference. If you’re able to donate, we are so grateful. If not, please don’t feel any pressure — even sharing this post or keeping us in your prayers means the world to us.
