Why Walk? RSM Australia
National Chairman of RSM Australia, Jamie O’Rourke, shares why their business Walks for autism.
“At RSM Australia, we value the communities in which we live and work and over recent years have been focused on our overall social responsibility. How we can give back to the community. Like me many of our team share a personal connection to autism. This is not surprising as we have 1,250 staff and there is an estimated 1 in 70 Australians on the autism spectrum. Over the past few years, RSM has been involved in Walk for autism. I am thrilled to witness the growing enthusiasm of so many to be involved in this very worthy cause. Walk for autism provide us with a fantastic way to give back to the community in which we work and live. It has the added benefit of improving our health and physical wellbeing. Our experience has only been positive, and I would encourage other businesses to be involved in the Walk for autism Workplace Team Challenge."
While the past year has seen us physically distanced from our workmates, Walk for autism 2021 offers the opportunity to bring together work colleagues with a combined goal to walk 10,000 steps a day for 8-days. This is a great way to promote team engagement, encouragement and support of each other through a common goal. Why not create a workplace team and join Walk for autism 2021.
