Welcome and thank you for being part of the Walk for autism. This event is administered by Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect), ABN 12000637267 and CFN 10991.

These terms and conditions govern your use of this website; by using this website and/or participating in this event, you accept these terms and conditions in full. Privacy Collection Statement

Aspect respects every person’s right to privacy, dignity and confidentiality and operates in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Aspect uses the personal information provided to us to respond to requests or in the application/delivery of a service, for managing and administering the services provided, for fundraising and marketing activity and the administration of Aspect’s business operations (this may include use of the personal information provided for the purposes of evaluation, research and improvement of Aspect’s services and management).

By accessing, browsing or using the Walk for autism website, which sits on the Everyday Hero platform (the Website), or completing the registration process to become a participant in the Walk for autism, you acknowledge that you have read this notice and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set out on Aspect’s website: www.autismspectrum.org.au/content/terms-conditions and below.

Products

The Walk for autism or Aspect do not warrant that any products or services advertised on the website will be available.

Photographic Consent

I understand and acknowledge that during the course of the Walk for autism that video footage/photographic images/case study of me/or my child, unless otherwise notified in writing to Aspect, are for free and unrestricted use by Aspect and its agents in editorial, advertising, educational and promotional materials. I understand that international copyright and intellectual property rights on these images will remain vested in Aspect, who will be entitled to broadcast, publish or otherwise distribute these materials and any product thereof in any way or manner that they see fit in perpetuity.

Physical Risk Notice and Consent to Participate

Walk for autism is an event that involves recreational activities and as such has certain inherent risks accosted. Recreational activities are dangerous and involve significant risk of physical harm or personal injury including permanent disability and/or death to participants. Any such injury may result not only from your actions but from the action, mission or negligence of others.

I acknowledge that I will assume all risks in connection with My/My Child’s participation of the event and acknowledge that Aspect is not liable in respect of these risks materialising, or for the breach of any express or implied warranty that services it provides will be provided with reasonable care and skill.

I acknowledge that children under 16 years old require consent of their parent or guardian before fundraising through Everyday Hero for the Walk for autism. Please refer to the Everyday Hero Terms and Conditions of Website Usage and Privacy Policy at https://everydayhero.com/au/terms for information relating to the safe and comfortable use of the website by children.

By completing the registration to be participant of the Walk for autism:

  1. I grant permission for My Child who is under 16 years old, to participate in online fundraising through the Everyday Hero website, and agree that I will provide supervision of My Child in compliance with the following rules:
  2. Children under the age of 16 using Everyday Hero’s fundraising services must do so under the supervision of an adult;
  3. Children under the age of 12 using Everyday Hero’s fundraising services must do so under the direct supervision of an adult;
  4. Children under the age of 6 using Everyday Hero’s fundraising services must do so under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian.
